Sparkle stars Crystal Paras and Vilmark continue to make strides in their singing careers.
Crystal’s single “Hintay,” under GMA Playlist, now has its Extended Play (EP) that comprises LoFi, Chill Vibe, Live, and Minus one versions. This soothing love song was composed by Rina Mercado and is about a person being cautious about her budding romance with someone.
“The lyrics is very self-explanatory, it says that you wait for me because it’s possible na pwedeng ikaw na ‘yung last love ko, pwedeng ikaw na ‘yung the one so I want to take it slow, I wanna be sure. Baka kapag ako na ‘yung biglang umamin, ‘pag nagpadalos-dalos ako, baka hindi mo rin pala ako gusto. I just want to be sure,” Crystal shared.
Meanwhile, Vilmark’s “Paraya,” under GMA Music, was self-composed and is about letting go of a person who makes you happy.
“It’s a hugot song and I’m very proud na ako po ‘yung nagsulat mismo ng kanta. The song is about accepting the fact na may mga taong kahit gaano natin ipilit, hindi talaga destined for us. So we are choosing na magparaya para sa ikasasaya ng puso ninyong dalawa,” Vilmark said.
The two Kapuso singers also share their hopes and dreams on their respective career paths.
Crystal dreams to star in a “musical serye” or become a bida-kontrabida in a TV series, “Lagi po akong pinapaiyak at inaapi sa mga role ko so ngayon gusto ko naman maging palaban, or a role na kahit kontrabida may remorse sa ending. But in terms of music, I’d love to be able to sing for GMA events abroad or be able to represent the network for international productions like Ate Aicelle (Santos). I really look up to her. Dahil nga po nag-Rak of Aegis ako dati, napanood ko siya sa Season 1 pa lang up until Season 6 na nag-audition po ako. Nakaka-inspire po talaga siya and I hope to be like her in some way.”
Vilmark, in turn, is happy to be part of the revival of OPM, “Ang dami natin nakakasabay sa international scene pero alam nating kaya rin nating mga musikerong Pilipino. I also plan to write songs for up-and-coming artists or singers. Of course, one of dreams is to perform abroad and entertain Filipinos all over the world and gusto ko silang makita in person at maging proud na ‘yung bitbit kong musika is galing sa akin. Hopefully makapag-release pa po ako ng maraming single na ako rin po ang sumulat.”
