Singing legend Imelda Papin and daughter Maffi Papin Carrion were officially crowned as “Ambassadors for Woman of the World,” a new international search for mother and daughter tandem.
The star-celebrity pair looked gorgeous when they were crowned by reigning Mrs. Tourism Universe for 2021 Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo on Dec. 29 at Mesa Restaurant on Tomas Morato.
Dubbed the “Sentimental Songstress,” Papin is the incumbent vice-governor of Camarines Sur and is seeking the governorship in the next national elections. Carrion, a singer, actor, and model, is the former Noble Queen International 2019. She is presently completing her JD degree major in International Law in a London-based university.
Ambassadors for Woman of the World is presented by Mega Star Productions, headed by pageant director Ovette Ricalde.

Filipino moms to compete in Australia
Monique Cantalejo Rivera and Christine Chriz Zie Escalante have been crowned Mrs. Universe Asia and Mrs. Universe Australasia, respectively during the Mrs. Universe Australia 2021 finals held virtually recently.
Rivera was crowned by Elite Mrs. Philippines International 2019 Michelle Vitug Encarnacion assisted by Bb. Pilipinas 2021 finalist Patrizia Garcia.
Rivera also won the Mrs. Aura Universe and Mrs. Universe Ambassador special awards.
Escalante was crowned by Ms. L, CEO of LaL’or, Seduction, and Hygeia with Director Erwina Arguelles. Escalante won the Mrs. Universe Ambassadorand Mrs. Australasia Official special awards.
With their won titles, Rivera and Escalante earned the right to compete in Mrs. Universe 2022 to be held in September 2022 in Australia.
