ISIS fanatics and Joma’s followers

The plot thickens.

Islamic State movement-inspired terrorists prey on “soft targets” like the bombing of a shopping mall in the advent of the New Year in Cotabato City.

On the other hand, the communist New People’s Army is set to “intensify” its attacks against the Armed Forces of the Philippines with the ultimate goal of overthrowing the government.

Ousting President Duterte is the overarching priority of the communists this year, based on the assertions of self-exiled Jose Ma. Sison.

So, while the ISIS followers, particularly the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and Maute Group, target defenseless innocent civilians, the CPP-NPA have a bigger ambition—to “eliminate” the President.

The Sison-inspired plot against Manong Digong is based on the premise that the President, who continues to be as popular as ever and serves as the “nation’s unifying force,” needs to be exterminated if the moribund communist movement hopes to survive at all.

The communist umbrella organization, National Democratic Front, is tasked to oust President Duterte this year, Sison announced Thursday.

Isn’t it terrifying just imagining whom Sison wants to replace Manong Digong with?

Whichever way the terrorists desperately wish to achieve their goal of wresting power from the government, the people stand to suffer in the process.

There is not a tinge of difference between the rabid ISIS fanatics and Sison’s communist followers.

Their tactics may vary a little bit but both have little respect for the innocent human life and Filipinos’ aspirations for better life.

I’m not going to lose any sleep over any plot to exterminate the President, though.

It’s simply unfathomable. Such thought is a product of hallucination. The people are certainly not going to allow that to happen!
