United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit the area.

The epicenter was located 146 kilometers from Davao City.
It struck at 9:16 am.
Ground movement was felt in Davao del Sur and Davao Oriental.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) in Davao Oriental has not recorded any untoward incident as a result of the tremor so far.
