Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) on Friday assured it will continue assisting the government in bringing vaccine shipments to the Visayas and Mindanao to protect the people in the regions from the deadly coronavirus disease.

From April 6 to 9, CEB airlifted about 77,800 doses to six cities in the country — to Bacolod on April 6; Zamboanga, Tacloban, and Cotabato on April 7; Puerto Princesa on April 8, and Tuguegarao on Friday.

CEB aircraft transported around 53,000 doses to Zamboanga and Tuguegarao last month.

This week’s batch of consecutive shipments consisted of 7,200 doses to Bacolod, 14,400 doses each to Tacloban and Zamboanga, 34,800 doses to Cotabato, 1,000 doses to Puerto Princesa, and 6,000 doses to Tuguegarao.

“We are glad to actively take part in this national endeavor. These deliveries pave way to the timely and successful rollout of our country’s vaccination program, and we are thankful for our partners’ trust in Cebu Pacific,” said Xander Lao, CEB’s chief strategy officer.

All vaccines, upon receipt at the CEB Cargo Warehouse, were kept in a refrigerated storage container, complete with cooling systems to ensure that the condition of the vaccines is preserved up until arrival at the designated destinations.

“We look forward to carrying more of these much-needed vaccines to aid in the country’s fight against COVID-19,” said Lao.

To date, CEB has already flown a total of 130,800 doses across the Philippines since March 2021.
