A commuter group has asked the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board for the suspension of the franchise of the Florida Bus Services Inc. particularly those plying the Manila-Cagayan route.
Lawyer Argee Guevarra, convenor of the PASADA CC, a non-governmental organization which aims to pursue the welfare of Filipino commuters and consumers, said that Florida buses had figured in a series of accidents in Nueva Vizcaya and Nueva Ecija in recent weeks which led to the deaths of several people, including a pregnant woman and injured commuters and innocent bystanders.
Last Feb. 14, 2020, a Florida bus rammed four houses in Nueva Vizcaya injuring seven people and destroyed private property.
In February 3, 2017, one person was killed and 27 others were injured when a Florida bus crashed in Solano town in Nueva Vizcaya. Police Chief Inspector Billy Mangali, Solano town police chief, said in a report that a GV Florida bus crashed in Bascaran village in Solano town.
In February 7, 2014, a Florida bus fell into a ravine in Bontoc town, Mt. Province and killed 15 people.
