MEYCAUAYAN CITY—A fire of still unknown origin razed two warehouses in Barangay Libtong near the NLEX Toll Plaza here, causing a monstrous traffic jam for north-bound motorists.

The fire, according to responding members of the North Valenzuela Fire Volunteers, started at around 7 p.m, Tuesday night, and continued until 7 a.m. the following day.

Initial report by the Bulacan Provincial Fire Protection (BPFP) said the warehouses, located in the boundaries of Barangays Langka and Libtong, were full of general merchandise and school supplies.

The fire reportedly started from the mezzanine of one of the establishments of  South Star General Merchandise owned by Bomir Ortiz, Mic Lao, and Jackie Lao.

The location of the warehouses and the scarcity of water sources and available fire hydrant in the area were gave the firefighters a hard time putting out the blaze.
