SC announces road closures near testing centers for ’22 Bar

The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday announced that road closures will be implemented within the vicinity of testing centers in the 2022 online and regionalized Bar examinations set on Nov. 9, 13, 16, and 20.

In an advisory issued by the Office of the 2022 Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caquioa, the SC advised the public, particularly motorists, to follow the road closures to avoid inconvenience.

For local testing center (LTC) at De La Salle University on Taft Avenue in Manila, Estrada Street (Taft southbound) to Quirino Street (Taft) will be closed to traffic from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m., Estrada Street (Taft northbound) to Quirino Street (Taft) from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Fidel corner Noli Streets (back portion of DSLU) from 2 a.m. To 7 p.m. during the four-day Bar exams.

San Beda University, also in Manila, Concepcion Aguila Street and Mendiola Street (from C.M. Recto intersection to Concepcion Aquila Street).

Manila Adventist College in Pasay City — Corner of San Juan Street and Donada Street until Leveriza Street from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

University of the Philippines in Bonifacio Global City – no road closure but expect increased volume of traffic. Ateneo De Manila University in Katipunan, Quezon City – no road closure but expect increased volume of traffic.

Saint Louis University in Baguio City – no road closure but expect increased volume of traffic.

University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City – road closed from J. Hernandez Avenue (in front of UNC), P. Burgos Street, Bayawas Street, and Gen. Luna Street.

De La Salle University (Lipa City Campus) – one lane beside DLSL along JP Laurel National Highway will be partially closed from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to facilitate the drop off and pick up of examinees at the main entrance of DLSU.

One lane beside DLSU along Calle Arzobispado will be partially closed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Traffic rerouting on November 20, 2022: From 4:00 p.m to 7:00p.m., all vehicles coming from Mataas na Lupa should turn left to San Carlos-Tibig Road going to City Proper.

University of San Carlos in Cebu City — Pelaez Street and Sanciangco Street.

University of Cebu (Banilad Campus), Cebu City — one lane of the north bound road in front of UC Banilad will be closed from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation, Tacloban City — Calanipawan Road will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 20, 2022 only.

Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Zamboanga City — Gov. Alvarez Street (two lanes), La Purisima Street (two lanes), and Nunez Street (one lane, beside ADZU) will be closed from 4:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. And 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City — Hayes Street will be closed starting 6:00 a.m. on the day before the exams, i.e., Nov. 8, 12, 15, and 19, 2022. On Nov. 9, 13, 16 and 20, additional roads in front of Corrales Avenue will also be closed.

Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City – no road closure but expect increased volume of traffic.
