MMDA imposes selective truck ban along EDSA

Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Thomas Orbos announces the implementation of selective truck ban along EDSA.

Orbos says, light trucks are prohibited to travel along the northbound lane of EDSA from 6 to 10 am.

From 5 pm onwards, light trucks are also banned from plying the southbound lane of EDSA.

Garbage trucks will only be allowed along this major highway at night.

Orbos says, the ban is meant to ease the severe traffic congestion along EDSA.

He notes that about 3,000 light trucks pass through this route on daily basis.
