43 Pinoys home from Indonesia

At least 43 Filipino fishermen who illegally entered Indonesia and jailed for almost six months were sent home to the Philippines, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.

The DFA said the Filipino fishermen were repatriated in coordination with the Philippine Consulate General in Manado, Indonesia.

The Filipino fishermen aboard Fishing Vessel KM Love Merben 2 arrived the other day  from Jakarta, Indonesia and were  received by DFA Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Jesus I. Yabes.

The 43 fishermen, who had no travel documents, were apprehended last  September 16, 2014 in Ternate, North Maluku for illegaly fishing in Indonesian waters.
