Filipino drag queen Marina Summers announced on her social media accounts that she is hitting the road for a world tour.
“World! It’s Summertime! Your Filipina Diva is coming to a city near you! I am so so excited to see you all and give you the full Marina Summers experience this March-May 2024,” she wrote on X.
Summers is going to 28 cities across North America and the United Kingdom, kicking off on March 14 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and ending on May 31 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
She recently bagged her second win on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World’s latest episode, “The Rusical.”
Aired on March 9, show contestants were tasked to write their verses for “Seven: Confessions of a Drag Queen,” which was inspired by the musical “Six.”
With the theme “When I Glow Up,” Marina brought back her iconic and upgraded “Terno She Better Don’t” look, which she wore in “Drag Race Philippines.”
“Terno is a national costume in the Philippines and this is a modern take inspired by the national fish, which is milkfish,” Marina explained.
Wearing her heritage with pride, Marina said: “I feel proud as a Filipina walking on the world stage wearing this amazing top-tier drag. This is Filipino drag.”
“Marina Summers, you were born to be on stage. You were born to do drag. You have represented not only the Philippines but drag in such a way that it makes us all proud for you,” RuPaul said.
