PCG-EV attends peace,order talks in Tacloban

The Philippine Coast Guard District in Eastern Visayas (CGDEV) has attended the Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting held at Pacific Point San Jose Tacloban City, on last May 28.

Commander Elgene Gregorio, deputy chief of the CGDEV, together with Ens. Ephraim Juliano, DCDS for Operations and Ens. Jucent Tacwang, Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Eastern Leyte also took part in the meeting.

The conference aimed to assess and refine the various agenda items, ongoing initiatives, and operational activities crucial to upholding peace and order within Eastern Visayas, Region VIII.

The meeting, under the stewardship of Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, served as a pivotal platform for stakeholders to converge and deliberate on strategies and measures essential for the sustained preservation of peace, security, and stability within the region.

Representatives from local government unit (LGU) departments and agencies spanning Eastern Visayas were also in attendance, fostering collaborative efforts in addressing pertinent issues and advancing collective endeavors towards regional harmony and resilience.
