Cebuana beauty queen Chantal Schmidt will soon leave for Egypt to compete in the Miss Eco International 2024.
“I am absolutely floored by the love and support I received today. Thank you all. The tears are still drying,” she said in an Instagram post after the sendoff ceremony.
The coronation night is set to take place on April 28.
Schmidt is aiming to be the third Filipina to win the Miss Eco International title after Kathleen Paton and Cynthia Thomalla.
Fellow beauty queens showed their support for Schmidt.
“Could we give a moment for that winning glow? Super proud to be at such an intimate sendoff for you,” Miss International 2023 third runner-up Nicole Borromeo said on Instagram.
“Rooting for you, sis,” added Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 Alethea Ambrosio.
Miss Eco International, which began in 2015, is a beauty pageant for a cause, centered on the theme “beauty for ecology.”
