CAAP sends team to probe Cessna crash in Bulacan

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Saturday dispatched a team to investigate the case of an aircraft that crash-landed in Malolos, Bulacan

The agency received a report from the Plaridel Tower regarding a crash-landed Cessna C152 type aircraft operated by Fliteline Aviation in a ricefield in Malolos, Bulacan around 2:15 pm. Saturday.

According to the initial report, the aircraft with registry number RP-C2673 was on a touch-go training flight with a route from Plaridel to Subic and back to Plaridel. It performed an emergency landing procedure due to an engine failure southwest of North Luzon Expressway.

The pilot and student pilot on board survived the emergency landing and were reported safe. 

The Operations Center and the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center of CAAP have been alerted to the incident, and the Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board has been dispatched to the crash site to investigate.
