Taguig Gawad pays tribute to retiring, retired city workers

Taguig City officials paid tribute to the retired and soon-to-retire employees in an annual event dubbed Gawad Pasasalamat at Pagkilala held in Lakeshore Hall on Friday.

The event, spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office, was made for the city to express its heartfelt gratitude to all personnel who reached the mandatory retirement age of 65 years and all those who rendered at least five years of satisfactory government service.

Seventy-nine service awardees received plaques of recognition and cash gifts to honor their unwavering dedication and substantial contributions to the city.

Mayor Laarni Cayetano also extended her utmost appreciation to the awardees and their families for their sacrifices during their years of service.

“We will repay these sacrifices by continuing and improving our programs in our beloved city of Taguig,” she said.

City officials who attended the event include 1st District Representative Ricardo Cruz Jr. and City Administrator Jose Luis Montales. Some city councilors and department heads also graced the ceremony.

The city government vows to continue to make programs for the betterment of its employees, its citizens, and the whole of Taguig City.

Taguig was a Bronze Awardee of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) ‘s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management.
