Matthew Marcos Manotoc has won another three-year term as governor of Ilocos Norte based on the latest unofficial results.
The latest tally showed Manotoc getting 229,161 votes against Rodolfo “Rudy” Fariñas, who garnered 82,136.
Manotoc and Fariñas were also supposed to face off in the 2019 elections, but Fariñas backed out.
Sandro Marcos, the son of presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr., meanwhile is also ahead of Ria Fariñas, daughter of Rudy Fariñas, in the race for representative of Ilocos Norte’s 1st District.
The latest tally showed Marcos with 97,165 votes against the 73,774 votes of Fariñas.
