In the spirit of Bayanihan, Thaison Builder & Developer Inc. has donated 20 water pressure cleaners and 20 emergency tents to communities affected by the typhoon. Typhoon Ulysses caused devastating damage to Luzon, and many municipalities and provinces are still covered in mud.

These items will be donated by Thaison to local clinics and medical centers in Marikina, Isabela, Catanduanes, and Bicol this week, in partnership with JCI Manila and Rotary Club of Paranaque.

“It’s heartbreaking to see hospitals, which are already dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, be devastated by Typhoon Ulysses. We are here to assist them to make sure that these hospitals can function at full capacity as soon as possible,” said Thaison Builder & Developer Inc. CEO Arthur Cantor. “Every disaster-hit community needs medical facilities to ensure the people are well cared for. As such, we are donating power washers to clean hospitals of mud and debris, and also emergency tents to support the needs of evacuation centers.”

These water pressure cleaners can easily wash off mud, dirt, and grime from the homes and buildings that were flooded during the typhoon. This will save the community from hours of tireless cleaning off the mud by hand, and hasten the process for families to return home.

The water pressure cleaners can also be used to clean community buildings, such as hospitals, which are still caring for patients who were either injured by the floods or tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the emergency tents were donated to provide more shelter for communities with damaged buildings, to ensure typhoon victims have the basic necessity of shelter as they struggle to rebuild their lives.
