Nutrilite will cap its 80th anniversary, officially celebrated last year, with  a three-city running event in Manila, Davao and Cagayan de Oro, the second leg of an international running series after the inaugural run in Thailand.

A running event that promotes healthy
lifestyle and helps less privileged students.

This is the third year Nutrilite is holding a running event which will benefit the less privileged in certain schools in Manila, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro adopted under the literacy CSR program of  Amway Philippines, exclusive distirbutor of Nutrilite in the country.

“This is a Southeast Asian effort of Amway as other countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia, plus Australia will also  be holding their own running events within the year, wellness has  always been the Nutrilite advocacy since it was introduced 80 years  ago. Through this series of runs, we want to encourage more people to put a premium on their personal wellness, we want more people to eat  right, take in the right supplements, and exercise more,” said Amway Philippines country manager Leni Olmeda.

Last year, the organizers targeted 5,000 participants and were surprised that 12,000 people answered the call, so this year, they  expect to have 12,000 runners just in the Manila leg alone and 4,000 each in the two provincial legs. Unlike other running events, the entry fee here is only P300 regardless of the distance to be run, choices are a 3K, 5K, and an 8K run scheduled on February 22 for the Manila  leg at the Blue Bay Walk near MOA in Pasay City, March 1 for Davao, and March 15 for Cagayan de Oro.

The entry fee includes a shirt and a chance to win a P10,000 worth of Nutrilite gift certificate and an iPod Touch plus other consolation prizes, staked by the organizers in each leg, the top 3 runners in each category will also receive medals and certificates. And  more, the entry fee will automatically entitle the runner to a free Amway Business Owner Registration with a starter kit worth P1000, not bad at all for a P300 registration fee. Plus knowing one has contributed something for a worthy cause. Live  entertainment awaits runners from popular Metro Manila bands at the finish line area.
