Councilor Jose Lorenzo “Enzo” Oreta today filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to run as mayor of Malabon City.
After a morning mass, Oreta, 31, filed his COC at the Brgy. Catmon Multi-purpose Hall in Catmon, Malabon together with his vice-mayor tandem Ninong Dela Cruz and re-electionist Rep. Jaye Lacson-Noel.
He was accompanied by his brother, incumbent mayor Lenlen Oreta.
Oreta was also accompanied by his candidates for the 1st and 2nd district of the city under the banner, “Team Pamilyang Malabonian.”
Last September, various sectors from transport, workers, institutional, special needs, and family cluster from the city formed a coalition called “Proud Malabonian Movement” to endorse Oreta’s candidacy.
The coalition cited Oreta’s “commendable performance” as a councilor, who is known for advancing projects that will uplift the lives of the people of Malabon.
