The Taguig City government on Wednesday started its Pamaskong Handog (Christmas Gifts) distribution to residents in the Enlisted Men’s Barrio (Embo) areas, the villages previously under the jurisdiction of Makati City.
The distribution in Embo areas started in Barangay Rizal where senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women received their packages conveniently at their doorsteps.
Mayor Lani Cayetano led the house-to-house distribution of the Noche Buena packages to the vulnerable groups. She emphasizes the importance of avoiding crowded spaces for the well-being of these groups.
“In the City of Taguig, we take this opportunity to bring happiness to every family. May it be more than the material things that the residents here in our city will receive, that they see the genuine love and concern that is very important and incomparable material things,” Cayetano said.
The Pamaskong Handog distribution is a cherished annual tradition in Taguig during the Christmas season to foster togetherness, love, and joy, and celebrate the birth of Christ.
