The local government in Taguig City has started preparing its Christmas gifts for residents and assured every family will receive a Noche Buena package this holiday season.
City officials have conducted the house-to-house distribution of Christmas Gift 2023 tickets in all barangays of Districts 1 and 2, with counting and verification of families from Embo villages, also started last Monday.
Packs for households with senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women are delivered house-to-house for their comfort and safety. Their package will be delivered beginning on Nov. 20.
Each pack contains three canned meat loaves, two big-sized canned corned beef, one hotcake mix, one box of cheese, milk, fruit cocktail, chocolate biscuits, pasta, spaghetti sauce, and 10 kilos of rice.
Mayor Laarni Cayetano said the Christmas Gift symbolizes the spirit of caring, giving, and love.
To protect the environment, the local government in 2022 ensured that the goods were placed in reusable and recyclable containers. It was also ensured that every place where the distribution was carried out was cleaned after. The containers can be reused when shopping.
