A video of the entire segment of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso in the one-on-one presidential interview with talk show host Boy Abunda has dominated the local Twitter trends since its release on Thursday night, January 27.
“While watching Mayor Isko interview ang dami kong natutunan. All of his answers are very specific, and he even provided examples and data to back them up. Dear Pinoys, everyone open our ears to listen. It’s too early pa to decide. Vote wisely.” said netizen @profcesstee.

Twitter user @thevincentjim also said: “Against sa abortion si Mayor Isko because he doesn’t like “taking life” but when it comes to war on drugs, ‘things happen.’ This is a nice logic.”
The Manila Mayor expressed that while he is a proponent of other things, including family planning, he disagrees with legalizing rape-related abortion, noting that taking one’s life is against his faith in God.
“I don’t like taking life, so ayaw ko ng abortion. But I am pro-choice in terms of other things like ‘yung kung ano ‘yung mga accessible na puwedeng ibigay ng estado para sa family planning. But when there is life already, nobody should take it away kasi ipinagkaloob ng Diyos ‘yan,” Moreno insisted.
Also, the 47-year-old Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer vowed to instruct the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and online banking services to regulate social media networks and websites that distribute pornography.
“I’ll teach these social media companies. I’ll make them responsible because nagiging outlet itong kanilang mga sites,” Moreno added that he would also consult with GCASH, Paymaya, and “even credit cards and banking systems” to deal with the problem.
However, the mayor also reminded parents about their responsibility to ensure that their kids won’t access explicit content online.
Before the interview ended, Boy Abunda asked Moreno “Bakit Ikaw?”
Moreno answered, “Hindi ako maghihiganti kanino man. Wala akong paghihigantihan. Sa dami ng problema, kailangan natin ng tunay na solusyon at mabilis na aksyon.”
The Manila Mayor encouraged the Filipino people to vote for him as he would focus on solving the country’s problems rather than indulging in personal resentments. He noted that what the country needs are real solutions and swift actions.
