P3-m shabu seized in Davao City

Davao City—Over P3 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by Calinan Police and Task Force Davao in a checkpoint Saturday evening.

The Davao City Police Office on Sunday said the illegal drugs, weighing about 179 grams, were brought by eight personalities entering the city.

Apprehended were Abolker Cabugatan, Oden Busran, Jerry Ali, Lando Ali, Norlayla Dipatuan, Eddie Acop, Mohammad Gubat, and Rosalyn Abdulgani. All of the suspects came from Lanao del Sur.

The suspects, who were on board a Toyota Innova, were asked to alight from the vehicle and submit their personal belongings for inspection by passing through an X-ray scanner.

Recovered from the suspects were five pieces of big-sized and 10 small-sized heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu.

Meanwhile, in Cavite, 17 persons were arrested in 12 separate drug bust operations, according to provincial police officer-in-charge Col. Marlon Santos.

One of the suspects, Akmad Saripada, was caught with 130 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P844,000 at Barangay Datu Esmael in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. With Benjamin Chavez
