New PFP officers in mass oathtaking in Iligan City

Iligan City—South Cotabato Gov. and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas president Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. recently led the mass oathtaking ceremony of the party’s new officers in Lanao del Norte and Region 10 here.

He urged all 167 officers to uphold the ideals of the party, as PFP supports the programs of President Rodrigo Duterte against corruption, terrorism, poverty, illegal drugs, and criminality.

The PFP, turning one year old on Oct. 5, gained 238 elected posts in the recent May 13 elections across the country, from Batanes to Tawi-Tawi.

Former Laguna Governor and PFP-4A Chairman Emilio Ramon P. Ejercito spelled out the “bayanihan” federalism that Duterte aims for the country, in the talk initiated by Membership Chair Amir Omar Daligdig and Sec. General Atty. Yusop Omar.

Three PFP municipal mayors were elected in Lanao del Norte—Mayor Farhanie Umpa Tawantawan in the town of Salvador (along with Vice Mayor Mateo Cortes), Ylan Lantud Vice Mayor Lacson Lantud in Pantao Ragat, and Mayor Hanna Rizalda in the town of Maigo.

Retired Army General Jovencio Magalso and former New People’s Army cadre Agustin "Jumper" Galleros are among the new PFP officers in the region.

They took their oath before Tamayo, PFP Chairman and National Commission for Muslim Affairs Commissioner Abubakar Mangelen, PFP National Secretary General Tom GT Lantion, Ejercito, and the PFP Vice President for Luzon, former Capas, Tarlac Mayor Antonio Rodriguez Jr.
