TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan – Cagayan Governor Manuel N. Mamba has identified similarities between the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign of President Marcos and the “Pabaruen ti Cagayan” campaign that he launched in 2016 in the province.

This was after the governor joined the united stand during the kick-off of the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign in Quirino Grandstand on Jan. 28.

“Bagong Pilipinas” is dedicated to the economic and social transformation of the country, Mamba said.

“Bagong Pilipinas” is the administration’s rallying cry that focuses on a comprehensive plan for economic and social development, he added.

Following the issuance of Executive Order No. 14 (s. 2023) and the categorization of National Housing for Filipinos as a national program, Memorandum Circular No. 24 was signed, establishing Bagong Pilipinas as the administration’s brand of governance and leadership.

Mamba underlined that “Pabaruen ti Cagayan” is a step of transformation that must begin with leaders and the government to achieve genuine progress.

The campaign includes reforming the Provincial Government’s moral system, empowering the Cagayano populace through the “Agkaykaysa Organization,” and highlighting chronic corruption in government through his advocacy “Krusada Kontra Korapsyon: “Huwag iboto kandidatong bumibili ng boto.” (“Don’t vote for vote-buying candidates.”).

“We’ve been doing this in Cagayan since 2016. This is bringing out the best, challenging Cagayanos, especially government leaders, to change the politicians who benefit from corruption,” Gov. Mamba stressed.

The “father of Cagayan” hopes the “Bagong Pilipinas” succeeds in its goal of changing the country’s way of life.
