GENERAL TRIAS CITY — More than 500 children were made happy by the local government here with their project “It’s Kidsmas Time and Adopt a Child Christmas” gift giving led by Mayor Luis ‘Jon Jon’ Ferrer IV and Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen on Wednesday.
“I told the city officials and department heads of our local government, instead of giving me gifts on my birthday and Christmas gifts, like branded items, just buy food and gifts for children this holiday season.” Mayor Ferrer said in an interview.
In the Adopt a Child Christmas gift giving, we search for 51 poor families in 33 Barangay for the Grant a wish for Christmas to fulfill their wishes to be a gift this Christmas season.
“The Christmas season becomes more meaning ful when we do this and we can make many more children of the city happy, may the Lord bless us more.” Ferrer added.
Congressman Antonio Ferrer, Board Member Morit Sison, and BM Kerby Salazar and City Councilors were the guests in the program.
