A Good Samaritan, Imelda Alcantara (2nd from right), recently returned P30,000 to Merlyn Eva Mamiit (left), also from Brgy. Del Remedio in San Pablo City.
To celebrate the act, First Lady Mayora Gem Castillo (2nd from left) invited the two women to her home in Brgy. San Jose, and to thank her for her kindness, Mayora Gem gave Alcantara two sacks of rice and cash.
According to the wife of San Pablo City Mayor Vicente Amante, “may Imelda’s good deeds be an example to others, and this only proves that the people of San Pablo City have good hearts.” Roy Tomandao
