Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—The government’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa mga Displaced/Disadvantaged (TUPAD) Workers Program will benefit 900 villagers here, Gov. Carlos Padilla said.

TUPAD, a partnership between the Department of Labor and Employment and the provincial government through its Provincial Employment Service Office, will provide sources of income for the beneficiaries.

“The beneficiaries will be given opportunity to work for 10 days, wherein he or she will be given a wage of P360 per day. This will provide them support to their families,” the governor said.

Padilla said there are 900 TUPAD beneficiaries in the province this year who are now being facilitated by their respective local government units.

TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers.
