LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—This province has honored young Pangasinenses who won in various events in the National Schools Press Conference last Jan. 22 to 25 in Pagadian City, Zamboanga Peninsula.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, in its regular session held on Feb. 13, approved Provincial Resolution No. 539-2017 to congratulate winners in the NSPC who represented their respective school divisions in the province.
Resolution author and fourth district Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario said the success of the young students “is a way to motivate and encourage them and other individuals or groups to understand the importance of journalism in a friendly and healthy competition.”
Leading the winners were Esron Rey Natividad of Alaminos City National High School, who was declared champion in copyreading and headline writing (Filipino).
