President Marcos on Tuesday led the ceremonial turnover of the National Housing Authority-Balanga low-rise housing project to 216 families residing beside the Talisay River in Balanga City, Bataan.

The President emphasized that the housing project reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to providing suitable homes for Filipinos.

Speaking during the turnover ceremony, President Marcos acknowledged the risks faced by the beneficiaries who have lived alongside the Talisay River for years.

“For many years, they have faced the danger of living by the river. That’s why we are here to address their struggles. They will now reside in their own safe, quality, and comfortable homes,” the President said.

He congratulated the beneficiaries on the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, emphasizing the importance of preserving and maintaining their new homes as the foundation of their aspirations and future.

“I would like to congratulate our beneficiaries in advance on the start of a new chapter in your life,” President Marcos added.

Assuring the beneficiaries of the government’s ongoing support, President Marcos highlighted the National Housing Authority’s commitment to the success of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing Program (4PH program).

The low-rise buildings, constructed using innovative technology, ensure durable and stable homes for each family. The housing project comprises six three-story condominium-type buildings, each housing 12 units per floor with two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, waterline, and electricity.

Furthermore, the housing program includes public facilities such as a four-story school building with 20 classrooms, a multipurpose building, and a covered basketball court.

Additionally, a Community Center has been established within the housing program, accommodating a health center, daycare center, barangay learning hub, office of the Homeowner’s Association, and satellite offices of local government for the convenience of availing various services.
