The Calamba Medical Center’s (CMC) tuberculosis program has garnered international recognition in the recently held Healthcare Asia Awards 2024 held in Singapore.
CMC said this accolade “serves as a testament to the hospital’s unwavering commitment to combatting this infectious disease and improving the health and well-being of its community.”
The CMC’s anti-tuberculosis initiative, called Dayang Masalanta Award, received the “Disease Prevention Initiative of the Year.”
The institution said this is a validation of its “dedication and effectiveness in addressing the challenges posed by tuberculosis.”
Representing CMC during the awards night were Dr. Rhodora Ocampo, chief medical officer; Florencio Tenorio, chief finance officer; and Dr. Mark Kristoff Pasayan, department chair of the CMC Disease Prevention and Control Center.
