Boosting agriculture through education

Damosa Land recently broke ground for the UP Professional School for Agriculture and the Environment (UP-PSAE) to be located in its premier integrated township Agriya.

Together with the Anflo Management and Investment Corporation (ANFLOCOR), Damosa Land and the University of the Philippines also signed the Deed of Donation declaring the turnover of the 31,800 square-meter property to the UP PSAE which is set to be home to 14 graduate and post-graduate agriculture-focused programs ranging from Agribusiness Management, Agroforestry, Animal Science, among others.

The UP PSAE campus, set to finish construction by October 2024, can accommodate up to 200 students of agriculture. It will be built on a 31,800 sqm property in the Agriya township, which will be donated by the Anflo Management and Investment Corporation and Damosa Land Inc.

The first building will be donated by the Anflo Group through the Don Antonio O. Floirendo Sr. Foundation. At the groundbreaking were : University of the Philippines President Atty. Angelo A. Jimenez; Director for UP-PSAE Dr. Maria Catalina T. de Luna; Principal Architect for Far East Associates Arch. Daniel T. Lim; Dean of Graduate School in UPLB Dr. Jomar F. Rabajante; Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development in UPLB Dr. Fernando O. Paras; Anflo Group Board Member Anthony B. Sasin; Kensington Ventures, Inc. Vice President Jose Manuel Floirendo Lagdameo; Managing Director of the Anflo Resort and Development Corporation and the Don Antonio O. Floirendo Foundation, Inc Maricris Floirendo Brias; Anflo Group Vice Chairman Ricardo R. Floirendo; President of the Real Estate and Construction Group; Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo, and Chancellor of UPLB Dr. Jose V. Camacho Jr.
