Fresh mandates

More local officials took their oaths of office over the weekend following their victories in the May 13 elections. They are Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan, Mangaldan, Pangasinan Mayor Marilyn de Guzman Lambino, Nagcarlan, Laguna Mayor Lourdes ‘Ody’ Arcasetas, and Councilors Evelyn Sotoya and Ron Esquivel, and Cabuyao, Laguna Vice Mayor lawyer Lief Opiña.
