Emil Jurado, Manila Standard’s Chairman Emeritus, is honored for being one of the pioneers of advertising self-regulation in the country by the Ad Standards Council of the Philippines. Jurado was also recognized as one of the founders and first president of the Kapisan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas.
