Special Assistant to the President Frederick Go (right) rolls his sleeves to chair the 5th Economic Development Group (EDG) meeting to find resolutions on matters raised during the last Joint EDG and IAC-MO meeting in December 2023. With Go is Finance Secretary Ralph Recto. Among the key issues resolved by Go include the revision of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) Administrative Order’s guidelines to secure environment compliance certificates (ECCs) that will allow proponents of floating solar projects within the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) to directly apply with DENR. Other matters resolved during the meeting were the Department of Agriculture’s farm and fisheries clustering and consolidation program and pursuing a strategic path towards increasing green mineral exploration and downstream investments in the Philippines.
