Carnivores in the metro are getting more and more excited as Morton’s The Steakhouse is opening its first branch in the Philippines by the second quarter of 2024.

Its flagship store will be at the ground floor of Uptown Eastgate Tower, an office tower facing the British School of Manila and just beside International School Manila in Uptown Bonifacio.

This will be Morton’s second branch in Southeast Asia after Singapore.

Other branches of the prime aged steak haven in Asia include Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Beijing.

Prime aged steak

Morton’s is brought to the country by The Bistro Group, the restaurant group behind American brands that opened in the Philippines such as TGIFrday’s, Hard Rock Cafe, Denny’s, Texas Roadhouse, Randy’s, and Olive Garden.

Since it opened its first restaurant in Chicago in 1978, Morton’s has since grown to over 65 restaurants across the United States, Mexico, and Asia.

It prides itself of using only “prime” steak — the highest quality grade designation from the US Department of Agriculture in terms of tenderness, juiciness and flavor.

Premium seafood choices

“Our Prime Beef at Morton’s is aged for 23-28 days and is custom-cut per Morton’s specification, by a network of experienced meat cutters, which assures the highest quality. Our meat arrives fresh to our locations ready to partake in the ultimate dining experience,” the restaurant said in its website.

And while Morton’s claims to serve “The Best Steak…Anywhere,” it also offers seafood dishes such as chilean sea bass, oysters on the half shell, colossal shrimp and red king crab legs.
