ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Philippines said it is on track to completing the country’s largest data center in Fairview, Quezon City by early 2025.

“When we announced STT Fairview in May this year, activities already started the night after the groundbreaking. The area has already been leveled out and prepared for construction,” Carlo Malana, president and chief executive of STT GDC Philippines, said.

“Digital is expanding everywhere. And of course, there’s a need for data centers to be able to support this digital expansion. With respect to the Fairview build, a couple of months ago, we announced the groundbreaking of the facility and today, we’re continuing to go on track. And we expect to continue to stay on track for our early 2025 ready-for-service date that we have announced in the past. So looking forward to that,” he said.

The announcement came on the heels of STT GDC Philippines’ aggressive expansion plans across its three existing data centers in Makati, Cavite and Quezon City. With a combined capacity expansion of 5.2 MW set for the third quarter this year, the company is poised to surpass the capacity of most single data centers locally. The expansion is a direct response to the high market demand and the ongoing digital transformation sweeping the nation.

The company unveiled in May its plans for the STT Fairview data center campus. Touted as the largest, most interconnected, sustainable and carrier-neutral data center campus in the country, STT Fairview is designed to serve at an impressive IT capacity of 124 MW. The initial phase of its operations is slated for early 2025.
