Investors confident on PH — Dominguez

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III said the active participation of global companies in the unprecedented “Build, Build, Build” program of the administration is a vote of confidence in the graft-free style of leadership of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Dominguez, in a lunch meeting held last week at the official residence of Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez in Washington D.C., told American executives and business leaders the “vibrant participation” of both international and local companies in the program was a solid proof of the trust the government had earned from the global community.

Dominguez cited the auction for the contracts covering the fourth and fifth packages of the segment of the North-South Commuter Railway running from Malolos in Bulacan to Clark in Pampanga, which attracted five foreign firms and one Philippine company.

The bids for the contract packages were submitted by the interested parties on Oct. 14.
