Holcim Philippines Inc. and Megawide Construction Corp. renewed an agreement for the supply of cement for all Megawide projects in Luzon.

The agreement, signed earlier in March 2024, will deliver the cement requirement of Megawide’s precast and construction solution (PCS) unit’s projects for the year, Holcim Philippines said in a statement.

“We are grateful to Megawide for its continuing trust in our ability to support them in building important development structures in the country. We look forward to providing Megawide’s cement supply needs in 2024 and continuing engagements on possible collaborations to advance innovative and sustainable building in the Philippines,” said Holcim Philippines president and chief executive Horia Adrian.

Holcim and Megawide have been industry partners since 2016.

Megawide is one of the infrastructure companies tapped to build the Malolos-Clark Railway and the Metro Manila Subway. It also has property development projects through unit PH1 World Developers Inc.

Holcim has been accelerating efforts to support innovative and sustainable construction in the country.

“With our renewed supply agreement with Holcim Philippines Inc., Megawide has reinforced its linkage with a like-minded partner who supports our vision of a First-World Philippines,” said Holcim Philippines executive vice president for precast and construction solutions Markus Hennig.

He said the partnership would help build the country’s major infrastructures through Megawide’s innovative solutions and Holcim’s high-quality cement products.
