Grateful heart

In a recent Lasallian Business Leadership class, we discussed Moral rights in the workplace. As we continued the discussion, I realized that I should be grateful and deeply thankful for the opportunity to provide for my and my family’s daily needs through my work. While employers are indeed legally obligated to provide fair compensation for their employees’ labor, I’ve come to understand that my employer goes above and beyond to ensure our well-being. My employer demonstrates a genuine commitment to our welfare by offering compensation packages that exceed statutory requirements. Beyond meeting the baseline, they provide comprehensive health insurance coverage, share profits with us, and offer additional perks that enrich our lives. These benefits are not just tokens of appreciation; they represent a tangible investment in our well-being and success. This realization fills me with immense gratitude. It’s not merely about receiving what is legally mandated; it’s about being part of a workplace culture that values and respects its employees.

As a grateful employee, I am deeply committed to upholding our company’s core values of Excellence, Integrity, Malasakit, and Balikatan in every aspect of my work. I understand that embodying these values requires discipline, consistency, and ethical decision-making, especially in my role as a manager responsible for sales and marketing activities.

Each day, I strive to use my time and the resources provided by the company to achieve significant goals that contribute to our collective success. Whether devising innovative marketing strategies or nurturing client relationships, I approach my responsibilities with a dedication to excellence, aiming to exceed expectations and drive positive outcomes.

Moreover, I recognize the importance of integrity in all my interactions with and with external stakeholders. I adhere to ethical principles and standards, ensuring transparency, honesty, and fairness in every decision. By upholding the highest ethical standards, I preserve our company’s reputation and foster trust and credibility among our customers and partners.

As for the sponsorship opportunities for customers, I am particularly interested in ensuring that our support aligns with our company’s principles and values. While we receive customer requests, I prioritize sponsorships for training seminars and educational initiatives that promote continuous learning and development. By investing in programs that benefit individual users of our products and our customers as institutions, we demonstrate our commitment to supporting lifelong learning and professional growth within our community.

As I commit myself to uphold the highest standards of performance within our company, it grieves me to witness instances where certain colleagues betray the trust bestowed upon us. Within our organization, some individuals prioritize personal gain over the company’s welfare daily. Sadly, conflicts of interest have surfaced among former officers who sold other products while utilizing the company’s time and resources for personal gain. As a  Catholic, I am firm in my conviction that despite these unethical behaviors getting away from the direct notice of our management, we remain morally accountable for our actions in the eyes of a higher power. The Lord is the ultimate judge of our actions, and we will face judgment for our choices. This faith in the Lord, coupled with a grateful heart, serves as my guiding compass towards the right path. True success is not measured solely by material wealth or professional accomplishments but by the integrity of one’s character and the impact of one’s actions on others.

In addition, I recognize the privilege of leading bestowed upon me by our company’s unwavering trust and support. I hold this privilege of great importance. As a responsible company member, I pledge to uphold ethical behavior to protect our reputation, colleagues, stakeholders, and community.
