AXA Philippines said said it became the first insurance company in the country to receive the Award of Excellence in Industrial Safe Man Hours from the Safety Organization of the Philippines Inc.
The insurance provider earned the recognition after achieving 8,935,704 safe man-hours without any lost-time accidents in the period covered. The industry-first award is among the various achievements reaffirming the company’s commitment to protecting its people and customers.
AXA Philippines said that since entering the local market in 1999, it has lived up to its reputation of being a global leader in insurance and investments, with its comprehensive range of quality products and services.
Beyond its innovative ways of addressing the ever-changing needs of its customers, the insurer also established a track record in enforcing industrial safety standards.
These standards are maintained through the implementation of sustainable industry safety best practices and programs such as deploying safety and health personnel in various offices, conducting Hazard Identification Risks Assessment and Control (HIRAC) initiatives across its operational areas, disseminating health-related advisories and providing employee training and awareness program.
It said it reinforces its health and industrial safety practices through guidance from certified professionals from various government and non-government organizations and through cooperation and dialogue with employees.
