Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Mina Pangandaman reaffirmed the government’s commitment to faster economic growth and addressing Filipinos’ needs during the Philippine Dialogue in Washington D.C. on April 17, 2024.

“We started this administration very strong, and we are committed to finishing even stronger. We have a very good road map. Our Philippine Development Plan, our Medium-Term Fiscal Framework, which has been approved by both houses—the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines,” Pangandaman said.

“Rest assured that our budget will continuously respond to the most urgent needs of our countrymen,” she said.

The PH Dialogue is a private conversation between economic managers and stakeholders from the Philippines, with a base in the US.

Pangandaman outlined the administration’s policies and budget priorities to make the Philippine economy an attractive magnet for foreign investments.

She also pledged to further strengthen the current administration’s development thrust through government-led programs and allocate the necessary budget to address the needs of the Filipino people.

The dialogue also covered the macroeconomic landscape of the Philippines, regulations and other reforms aimed at improving business conditions and making it seamless for investors to do business in the country.
