The Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Consumer Protection Group launched “Kapihan with CPG,” a dialogue series aimed at strengthening collaboration with the stakeholders to address pressing industry topics concerning them.
The Kapihan series, which piloted on April 12, 2024, is a bi-monthly forum with representatives from the manufacturing and retail sectors of basic necessities and prime commodities (BNPCs).
“This ‘Kapihan’ series, though informal in nature, provides a valuable opportunity for industry stakeholders to come together, exchange insights, and work towards a common goal of ensuring the availability of goods at reasonable prices,” said DTI assistant secretary for consumer protection group Amanda Nograles. She said the initiative aligns with the DTI’s mandate to protect the consumers and ensure fair trade practices.
