Angkas, a motorcycle ride-hailing and delivery service app in the Philippines, teamed up with Pag-IBIG Fund to enhance the social safety net of their bikers.

“Partnering with Pag-IBIG strengthens our bikers’ social safety net,” said Angkas chief executive George Royeca.

“We do this because we recognize their daily efforts on the streets and commitment to delivering quality service to our customers,” he said.

Angkas hosted Alagang Angkas: Pamilya Weekend at their Cainta Office for 1,000 Angkas bikers and their families. Participants were offered vital health services with doctors providing free health screenings, eye exams, and dental checkups.

“Our lodi bikers are at the core of our operations. This family day reflects our commitment to providing the help and support they deserve, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. It’s also an opportunity for us to listen and discover how we can better serve them,” Royeca said.

Angkas said it remains committed to uplifting riders and their families from poverty through various programs and initiatives, striving to enhance their overall quality of life.

Angkas has over eight million app downloads and a network of 50,000 biker-partners.
