Angeles City frontliners get booster shots

ANGELES CITY — Some 92 medical frontliners here have received their booster shots against COVID-19 on Thursday at the vaccination site in the City College of Angeles.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, Jr. said the 92 frontliners are fully vaccinated doctors, nurses, and medical technologists from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), formerly known as Ospital Ning Angeles.

“We started giving booster shots to our brave frontliners,” Lazatin said.

The doctors, nurses, and medical technologists who received booster shots are those who got their vaccines from the city’s vaccination centers last March and April.

Lazatin’s chief adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, shared that the giving of booster shots for the fully vaccinated healthcare workers will be done by schedule. Butch Gunio

The staff of the Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles is assigned to call the recipients for their designated booster shots schedule, Calaguas said. Calaguas added that the recipients should also present their issued vaccination cards.

According to Dr. Verona Guevarra, City Health Officer the vaccine supplies are sufficient for their booster shots.
