The camp of former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV has warned Vice President Leni Robredo against pursuing a partnership with Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso even before the start of the so-called unity talks with other possible presidential bets.

Trillanes said the Magdalo group, which he heads, profiled the personalities whom Robredo will have to talk to for a possible unified opposition candidate.

“That’s precisely the reason why we were sounding the alarm bells when VP Leni considered to unite or align with Mayor Isko. We saw it as a danger zone,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes earlier accused Domagoso of showing his “true face” after calling Robredo a “fake leader.”

Domagoso’s public attack against the Vice President came after the hashtag #WithdrawIsko trended on Twitter after Robredo announced she is joining the presidential race.

The Manila mayor questioned Robredo’s goal of unifying the country when she allegedly could not unify her own Liberal Party after filing her certificate of candidacy as an independent candidate.

“There’s no misinterpretation here. Aside from our research on him, the words he used last Friday – yellowtard – only die-hard supporters of Duterte use that term,” Trillanes said.

“There’s really no ambiguity there. [Isko] is really pro-Duterte and I’m so glad he outed himself,” he added.
