Most A-list stars in showbiz started their career playing bit roles. They were once struggling actors trying to make it in the business.

Yes, starting a career as an actor can be difficult and there will be times that you would question yourself if choosing this career path was a good decision.

Up-and-coming actor Andrew Gan can attest to this fact. It took him six years to get the biggest break in his career, it’s more than half a decade of trying to prove his talent and capabilities as a reliable actor.

“Before Limited Edition, I thought showbiz was not really for me. I was already in the brink of quitting showbiz,” the 27-year-old actor told Manila Standard Entertainment in a virtual interview over the weekend.

Up-and-coming actor Andrew Gan is one of the lead stars of ‘Limited Edition,’ a romantic BL series streaming now on Bragais TV.

Limited Edition is a romantic drama about finding one’s elusive and everlasting love with a love triangle story arc that gives it more kilig, heartstrings pull, and a fairy-tale-like conclusion of who ends up with whom.

“The most challenging part about doing this series is really playing the role. I need to know how to feel like him, to live in his shoes, and give justice to that feeling of falling in love with another young man,” added Andrew who lists projects like Batang Foz, Super Ma’am, The Third Party, and Ang Henerasyong Sumuko Sa Love as part of his resume.

Limited Edition came at a very opportune time, he said. Being cast in this Boys Love series along with other newbies Ron Angeles, and Jomari Angeles has opened many doors for him.

“I’m just really glad that I was given this chance to showcase my talent as an actor. It’s every actor’s dream to be part of a project and see their names as part of the lead cast. I’ve done so many projects on television and in movies and getting those roles was not easy,” he shared.

Andrew believes that Limited Edition is his springboard to stardom and he wouldn’t mind doing another BL project and go daring if the script calls for it.

“I’m always drawn to projects with great stories. So, if I need to show skin for a project as long as the story is good and going daring is justifiable, then I’m all for it. Coco Martin and other big names in showbiz now did it before so who am I to say no to those kinds of projects,” the actor who is now managed by talent manager Leo Dominguez said.

Andrew did not just mention the name of Coco Martin in passing, in fact, he was vocal that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of the Ang Probinsyano star.

“My big dream is to make it big in showbiz. I know the feeling of being rejected for a role, waiting in line just for an audition, basically all the struggles of people who want to enter showbiz. When I become a big star, I would like to help struggling actors because I know the feeling. I know the feeling of being in their shoes,” Andrew ended.

Story by Bernard Umali, screenplay written by  John Fontanos, Limited Edition was produced by world-famous shoe designer Jojo Bragais, with Michelle Jhoie Ferraris as co-producer.

The BL series started streaming Oct. 2, 8:00 p.m. on BRAGAIS TV on YouTube.

“His decision to run for a congressional seat made me emotional on so many fronts. Naalala ko si Mommy and how she would have been proud of her youngest son. Public service is one of her legacies which has inspired all her children not only to be of help to the less fortunate and disadvantaged but to effect positive change,” Rep. Vargas said when his brother filed his Certificate of Candidacy.

“Si PM ang isang matibay na sandalan ko sa tatlong termino ko bilang congresista. He would support me in all my initiatives no matter how unpopular they may be. Kinausap niya ako bago siya nag file ng COC. Sabi niya, ‘dapat pang ituloy ang lahat ng iyong ipinaglalaban, Kuya. I understand your cause and vision. And because of that, I will run. Your positive effect on the lives of our ka-distritos has to continue. I will do it for your constituents. You and I owe them that.’ Then I knew, my brother and I are one,” he added.

Rep. Vargas, a TOYM awardee, a consistent recipient of recognitions and awards on his performance as a congressman, a multi awarded actor and producer.

“I am supporting his candidacy because I believe in what he stands for. I’ve known him all his life. We come from the same tree and the fruit never falls far from it. I am proud of PM but I am sure Mom and Dad are even prouder of him,” he ended.
