V-Day for AlisahA living legend whose work continues to inspire, Vehnee Saturno has helped singers become household names themselves. He's a firm believer that one breakthrough song can spell the difference, and turn a brilliant talent's relative anonymity into big-time celebrity.

The list of songs penned by Saturno is long: Martin Nievera (“Be My Lady”), Ariel Rivera (“Sana Kahit Minsan”), Jessa Zaragoza (“Bakit Pa?”), Jay R ("Bakit Pa Ba?)," among many others.

V-Day for Alisah
Alisah Bonaobra’s “Kahit Di Totoo,” penned by icon Vehnee Saturno and to be dropped on digital music platforms July 9, may just be the breakout hit of her already colorful career.

Fans and friends of Alisah Bonaobra collectively dubbed Alisah Warriors are thrilled that she may have just reached her V-Day, as in V for Vehnee, with her latest release "Kahit Di Totoo," which the master wrote. She and her US-based manager Rosabella Jao-Arribas met with the icon prior to pandemic to discuss the possibility that they collaborate.

The single completed at Wild Grass Recording Studios in Quezon City last May, lands on digital music stores Friday (July 9).

Alisah happily shared, “I feel very blessed po na I was given the opportunity to interpret a composition by Sir Vehnee. Malaking bagay po ito sa akin. I can say na naipakita ko sa recording ng kantang ito ang aking soft side like never before."

"Kahit Di Totoo" was produced by Rosabella's RJA Productions, mixed-mastered by the accomplished Dante Tañedo, with premier vocal coach Arnie Mendaros on board, efficiently guiding Alisah from the first line to the final note.

"Usually po I would use my head voice. But in this track nagamit ko po ng mahusay ang aking natural voice,” she added.

Vehnee, in a quick chat with yours truly, reiterated his vow to help artists like Alisah who has a strong following just waiting for that game-changing hit. He himself has high hopes about his new song fittingly interpreted by someone he described as "konteserang walang kaba."

That's so true considering that the young lady wowed even world-renowned Simon Cowell and the high-taste British audience at X-Factor UK some years back. She even bagged the first runner-up plum at The Voice of the Philippines.

The song should relate to all those lovestruck martyrs out there. Vehnee related, “Para sa akin, love is sacrifice at ibig sabihin ay kaya mong tanggapin ‘yung ayaw mo sa isang tao."

Alisah loves to be around people who trust each other and she's comfortable working with. Her previous release, "Pangako," saw her singing a duet with labelmate and friend Myko Mañago.  She also recorded and released in November last year a track called "Faithful" penned by another icon in the music scene: Cecile Azarcon. She hinted at recording more songs crafted by big-name songwriters.

The vocally gifted, animal-lover whose amiable character had been molded by hardworking sidewalk vendor-parents has now a family-owned canteen within the Manila Doctors Hospital. She is currently facilitating the creation of a home studio where she can further enhance the atmosphere of her online shows to reach more audiences. She has also begun writing songs herself as she plans to record one of her own sometime in the future.
