Based on Executive Order No. 025-2021 signed by Mayor Oca Malapitan, the seven-day lockdown will be enforced after the City Health Department recorded 87 COVID-19 cases in the area since March 11, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Caloocan city government released the vaccination schedule for this Tuesday, April 27.

Those scheduled to be vaccinated are those in the A1 category or active medical and health care workers and A3 category or those aged 18-59 years old with comorbidity such as tuberculosis, hypertension and others.

Malapitan said that to expedite the process of the Vaccination, vaccinees have to bring their own ballpen, prepare their PhilHealth IDs if they have one or if they don’t have, just bring a Valid ID, vaccination card, (A1 and A3 categories that will receive the 2nd dose) and don’t forget to wear facemasks and face shields.

Throughout the lockdown period, residents will be strictly prohibited from leaving their homes and only medical and health care frontliners, essential government employees, police officers, barangay officials and individuals in need of medical attention will be allowed to come out.

According to the mayor, the purpose of the total lockdown is to conduct mass swab testing and contact tracing on residents in conjunction with extensive misting and disinfecting operations in the area.

The mayor also assured that the Caloocan City Government will distribute grocery packs to the affected residents.

“Just head to the nearest venues in your area: Gregoria De Jesus Elementary School; Caloocan City Hall North Covered Court; Pangarap Elementary School; Llano Senior High School; Baesa Elementary School; Cayetano Arellano Elementary School and Buena Park Covered Court,” he said.

Those who were vaccinated between March 22 and March 28 who weren’t able to go to their scheduled 2nd dose vaccination can also go to Gregoria De Jesus Elementary School.
