Republic Cement won big at the prestigious Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards (PMIEA) held recently at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Social Hall in Quezon City.
For its achievements in environmental preservation and safety excellence, Republic Cement bagged the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards for Quarry Operations for its Bulacan and Batangas plants.
Republic Cement was also recognized for having the Safest Quarry at its Batangas plant, the Best Mining Forest Program for the Non-metallic Category for its Bulacan plant, and a Platinum Achievement Award for Quarry Operations for its Iligan plant.
Republic Cement & Building Materials Inc. president Lloyd Vicente received the awards from Undersecretary Jim Sampulna of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Chamber of Mines of the Philippines chairman Gerald Brimo.
